The Hotel Astor is located in Navile’s district, one of the most extensive of the city that it’s close to Old Town because it borders with the railway central station, just 900 meters from the hotel. The area brings together several local communities with their stories and their identity. At about 800
meters from the Hotel Astor there is Villa Erbosa Hospital,

A museum of the Industrial Heritage where you can admire the production processes, technologies, industries and especially the innovations that took place in Bologna from the sixteenth to the twentieth century. Seventeen different routes of bike paths, a large swimming pool and seven sports: Arcoveggio Biavati, Pizzoli, The Dozza, Ferrari and De Gama. The Markets: the neighborhood of Via F. Albani, (open every morning from Monday to Saturday - located 300 meters from the hotel) and that of the famous Montagnola’s Market (open on Friday and Saturday all day and located about one km from the hotel).
Antiques Market and modern: Antiques and collectibles. It takes place under the arcades of Via Matteotti on the first Tuesday of each month except July and August.
Office of Bologna’s city: The area of old fruit and vegetable market has been the subject of a great speech processing and currently houses the new headquarters of the municipal offices as well as a settlement of recreations, offices, shops, restaurants, bars, a large post office, all located outside the new headquarters of Telecom.
Arcoveggio’s Hippodrome: 18,600 square meters and 5,900 square meters dedicated to the green area open to the public around the track and the stables. A structure that has recently undergone major changes improving both the warmth of the horses that the area reserved for the public. The Racecourse is situated approximately five hundred meters from the Hotel Astor which has an agreement.
National Research Centre: located about one kilometer from the Hotel Astor, which has an agreement with the CNR in Bologna that includes eight institutes: Biometeorology - Microelectronics and Microsystems - Atmospheric Sciences and Climate - Marine Sciences - Study of Nanostructured Materials - Organic Synthesis and Photoreactivity - Space Astrophysics Cosmic Physics - Astronomy
